What a great time we had today!!! We had a couple of guests (and a couple call ins) from the Broader View Weekly in the studio to discuss health care reform, natural gas drilling, and participation in government.
Before discussing the content of the show, we wanted to comment on one of the callers. Today, a caller made it clear that he was upset with the format of the show and would prefer that the show focused solely on Youngevity products. First, we are sorry that you did not like today’s show. Though Bernie Owens is a Youngevity distributor, we want to point out that the show’s advertisement states that you should listen to Bernie and friends as they discuss health, wealth, and politics. There are other daily programs that are devoted solely to Youngevity products and though we fully support, market, and use these products it is not the sole purpose of the Wellness Hour radio program. We also believe that Wellness goes beyond supplementation (though it is paramount to a healthy lifestyle) and we enjoy having our Saturday morning conversations!
Now back to today’s show!!! Our studio guests today were Sue Heavenrich and Martha Goodsell. Both woman write for the Broader View Weekly, a local paper (with local writers) covering the issues in Tioga, Chemung, and parts of Tompkins County. Our guest shared their ideas and opinions on the current health care debate, gas drilling, and participation in government. You can listen to an archive of the show: here

We at the Wellness Hour are still in support of single payer health insurance (Medicare for all if you will) because we understand that there are health issues that you honestly can not solve at home. Even the healthiest individuals can have accidents or get sick and we understand the need to make health care affordable and available to all citizens.
Lastly, if you would like to contact Bernie concerning Youngevity products or a health issue, he is always available to you using the contact form (link to the right) or via phone at 607-739-5595.
